Jay-Z and Bezos have secret LA dinner as they ‘bid to buy Washington Commanders’

Billionaire businessmen Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z have met for a secret dinner – with rumours swirling that the duo could bid for the Washington Commanders.

Amazon founder Bezos and hip-hop superstar Jay-Z – real name Shawn Corey Carter – were spotted at restaurant Horses near the Sunset Strip of Los Angeles on Monday evening.

TMZ notes that the restaurant is usually closed on a Monday, but was opened up especially for the pair to enjoy conversations over a low-key meal.

And they were pictured by the US platform leaving the restaurant at different times.

Amid recent events, a possible joint venture with a view to buying the NFL franchise Washington Commanders could well have been on the agenda for Bezos and Jay-Z.

It is claimed by sources in America, including CNN, that the mega-rich duo are lining up a joint-takeover bid for the Commanders.

And their meeting came after current owner Dan Snyder recently signalled his interest in selling the franchise.

Snyder and his wife, Tanya, are exploring a sale and announced last week they have hired Bank of America Securities to 'consider potential transactions'.

Jay-Z and Bezos could prove realistic investors in the NFL team given they already have vested interests within the sports business industry.

American rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z used to have a stake in the NBA team Brooklyn Nets, while his company Roc Nation Sports looks after several NFL athletes.

Meanwhile, Amazon secured a streaming partnership deal with the NFL this year to showcase elite American football on CEO Bezos' platform.
