NBA legend Shaquille O'Neal covered an entire restaurant's tab while on a date in New York City.
The retired basketball phenomenon entered luxury Manhattan spot Jue Lan Club accompanied by a woman, who he reportedly described as his "date", on Sunday. Los Angeles Lakers icon Shaq ordered Beijing chicken, shrimp tempura and signature chicken satay, as reported by Page Six.
His lady friend is said to have done all the ordering, while the 50-year-old decided to pay for every other customer's meal in a stunning show of generosity. O'Neal is understood to have splashed $25,000 (£20,500) in covering the mammoth bill.
He reportedly wanted to keep his generosity a secret from his fellow diners. The sports pundit on Inside the NBA even asked staff not to mention it to the other 40 tables until he left the Chinese restaurant.
A source also claimed: "He left them the biggest tip they've ever received."

But despite his staggering $400million (£327million) net worth and willingness to treat his fellow diners, the four-time NBA champion has admitted he is frugal when it comes to handing his six children money.
He previously explained: "My kids are older now. They're kinda upset with me – not really upset – but they don't understand. Because I tell them all the time. We ain't rich. I'm rich.
"You've got to have a Bachelor's or Master's [degrees] and then if you want me to invest in one of your companies, you're going to have to present it… bring it to me, I'll let you know. I'm not giving you nothing."
He added: "Listen, I got six kids. I would like a doctor, somebody to own a hedge fund, a pharmacist, a lawyer, someone that owns multiple businesses, someone to take over my business. But I tell them I'm not going to hand it to you. You gotta earn it."
