UFC fans were left devastated after reports that Jose Aldo has been dropped by Dana White's promotion. However, it soon emerged that Aldo had walked away from the company to call the curtain on his illustrious career.
Aldo is regarded as one of the best featherweights of all-time, and he won 25 of his first 26 professional bouts before finishing on a record of 31-8. The Brazilian's most famous bout came against Conor McGregor at UFC 194.
Aldo was dropped in just 13 seconds by McGregor after being caught with a wicked left hook – the first that had connected in the clash. And Aldo has now retired from the UFC with one fight left on his contract.
