Fury rejects bottle of water over fears it is spiked after Wilder win

This is the moment Tyson Fury rejected a bottle of water following his win over Deontay Wilder over fears it was spiked.

Fury was preparing to speak at his post-fight press conference as the world's media waited to hear about his seventh-round stoppage.

One of his trainers, former world champion Andy Lee, handed him a bottle of water only for Fury to enquire as to where it came from.

Lee pointed to an unseen person who had handed him the bottle and Fury declined the offer.

Fury and Wilder had both signed up to extensive drug testing in the lead up to their heavyweight world title fight and would have been required to provide urine after the bout.

And Fury was keen to ensure nothing entered his system which could jeopardise his famous victory on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Brit had dropped Wilder in the third and fifth rounds before his relentless pressure forced the American's corner to throw in the towel in the seventh session.

The result meant Fury could put to bed the ghosts of his first fight with Wilder which ended in a controversial draw despite the 31-year-old dominating for most of the fight.

In ending Wilder's reign as champion, Fury became a two-time ruler of boxing's premier division after his win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.
