Jake Paul “chasing alligators and training 12 hours a day” for Tommy Fury fight

Jake Paul has been “chasing alligators” and training “12 hours a day” as he prepares to take on Tommy Fury.

The YouTuber, who knocked out ex-UFC star Ben Askren in just one round, has been linked with a fight against heavyweight champion Tyson Fury’s younger brother.

After the American’s latest win, the 21-year-old ex-Love Island contestant called him out Twitter with: “I’m ready to give the people what they want. @jakepaul.”

But Paul has claimed that he is already stepping up his preparations to take on the five-fight unbeaten light-heavyweight.

Speaking on ESPN’s Max on Boxing , the 24-year-old said: “I am dedicating my whole entire life to this training – 10 or 12 hours a day, stretching, sprinting, boxing, jogging, running up hills, chasing alligators – I am doing it all.”

A clash with Fury would be the YouTuber’s first bout against another boxer, having beaten Askren, ex-NBA star Nate Robinson and social media influencer AnEsonGib.

The war of words began earlier this year when heavyweight favourite Tyson Fury praised his younger brother and added: “Jake Paul, where you at?”

Paul responded on Twitter, saying: “He calls me out to fight someone – his brother! I didn’t even know he had a brother.

"You are Fury’s little brother? If you want to do something don’t let your brother do it for you.”

But Tommy himself soon hopped on social media to officially call out Paul, who he mocked in future posts.

“Mr Jake Paul, I don’t need anybody to do my dirty work," he said.

"I’ll call you out right now myself. You can fight me any time, any place, anywhere. All you’ve got to do is get in touch.”
