In what was a tough fight that ended up going the distance, McCourt claimed the historic victory via unanimous decision.

It almost ended in disaster when her opponent Judith Ruis locked her into an arm bar in the opening round, but McCourt was able to scramble free before regaining control of the fight.

The victory sees McCourt enter the record books as she becomes the first woman to headline and win a Bellator main event fight in Europe.

It didn’t not come easy, but McCourt showed she’s got what it takes to thrive in the fight game at the highest level.

Immediately after the final bell sounded her daughter stormed the cage to celebrate with her mum as the two hugged and soaked in the enormity of the situation they were in.

GEORDIE SHORE STAR STUNNED

Aaron Chalmers was demolished on SundaySource:Instagram

From reality television to the Octagon, Aaron Chalmers continues to try and make it big in the fight game but on Sunday things didn’t go his way.

Up against American Austin Clem, the ex-Geordie Shore star struggled to gain the upper hand as Clem controlled the fight throughout the three rounds.

The judges scorecards read 30-27 x2 and 30-26, as the rightful winner’s hand was lifted at the 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland.

Clem continually brought the fight to the ground and reigned down ground and pound on the former reality star in a fight many fans slammed as boring.

The ugly showing even saw those in attendance break out into a chorus of boos throughout the final round.

Chalmers record now reads five wins and two losses in the MMA Octagan, and his latest outing shows he still has a lot to learn about the fight game.

It was a solid lesson for the former reality TV ace, and he will look to take that back to the gym and improve for his next outing.
