Rap icon Snoop Dogg said his experience of commentating on Jake Paul's famous victory over Ben Askren was like ‘co-selling with Ali’.
The Problem Child only needed 70 seconds to sweep the former UFC fighter aside, levelling him with a stiff right hand to the temple. While Askren got back to his feet within the ten second count, the referee very quickly ended the fight after realising he was unable to continue.
But while the enormous punch helped kickstart Paul’s terrifying trajectory into the star he is now, Snoop Dogg’s commentary of the bout is just as, if not, potentially more famous. And the 50-year-old poured extra praise on Paul by claiming he felt like he was ‘co-selling’ during the bout.
“Come on man, I felt like me and him was like co-selling Ali,” Snoop Dogg said to Paul’s ‘Impaulsive podcast’. “We should stay together you understand me? So you know, let me know when you all want to do it again, because that’s the s*** I do.”
Paul claimed in an Instagram post his bout with the MMA specialist garnered “1.5 million PPV buys” and approximately £60million
And one of the main attractions of the fight was the sound of Snoop Dogg on the mic accompanied by Saturday Night Live’s Pete Davidson. "Get my money, Jake! Get my motherf*****g money, Jake!" he yelled as Paul looked to finish Askren off.

Paul recently confirmed that his next fight will take place in August, but the opponent remains unknown. He was supposed to fight Tommy Fury at the end of December, until the former Love Island star pulled out with a broken rib and a chest infection.
Tyron Woodley stepped in at short notice and Paul shocked the world yet again by overcoming the former UFC champion for a second time, via a split-decision victory.
