UFC star Paddy Pimblett looking fighting fit again having tipped scales at 200lb

UFC star Paddy Pimblett has shown off his weight loss having tipped the scales at over 200lb.

Paddy the Baddy ballooned in weight following his UFC London submission victory over Kazula Vargas in March. But he's now gearing up for his next fight as the UFC gets set to return to the English capital for a second time in 2022.

The Liverpudlian is in training for his bout with Jordan Leavitt next month and shared some images from his camp this week which show a much more slimmed-down physique than he has had. He wrote: "Always grinding… getting ready for July 23rd."

Pimblett also posed for a picture alongside fellow UFC star Molly McCann and training partner Shem Rock. It left fans impressed, with one writing: "Everyone always talks about how fat Paddy gets, but nobody ever wants to point out his physique when he cuts down. Sound like some haters."

Another posted: "How da f** this dude lose all that weight so f****** quick. Paddy the magician."

A third commented: "Would honestly love to know how he does it the cut so easily, really impressive. Enjoys food the way he wants then cuts weight to slap folk about and skelp fools with sanitiser."

Pimblett is unconventional in his approach between fights, opting to not stay fighting fit and instead bulking up with 10,000-calorie binges. He wasted no time going about that after his last outing, eating a pizza in the post-fight press conference.

"I'd rather be fat and happy than ripped," he said. "These people who are ripped all year round are not happy, I don't care what they say. This six-pack is sound, I look great but I'd rather be fat and happy."

The lightweight contender is currently in the midst of a 45lb cut ahead of what is expected to be his biggest UFC challenge to date in the form of 10-1 American Leavitt.

One fan asked Pimblett: "Will you put on as much weight again after this fight? Genuine question mate. Want to see you challenging at the top of the division." He replied: "No idea lad we will see what happens."
