Logan Paul will lose a substantial sum of money if he weighs in over the limit for his fight with Floyd Mayweather this weekend.
The pair will go head-to-head at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Saturday with Paul looking to inflict a first ever defeat on the unbeaten star.
Before the fight, the American YouTuber faces a battle with the scales that could see his fight purse suffer a knockout blow before the bout has even begun.
That’s because Paul will reportedly be fined $100,000 for every pound he weighs in over the 190lb limit.
The bout will take place under exhibition rules, which allows for a massive weight difference with Mayweather expected to hit the scales at 160lb.
Paul should tip the scales at a significantly higher weight, meaning he’ll need to be wary of going over 190lb or risk losing a huge chunk of cash.
It is not known how heavy the 26-year-old is at the moment, but he could be in trouble if his one and only professional bout is anything to go by.
He weighed in at 199.4lbs to fight British YouTuber KSI in November 2019 – a contest which he lost by split decision after six rounds.
If Paul clocks a similar number on the scales this time around, he will lose a whopping $900,000.
The social media star might need to watch his weight ahead of the fight, but he certainly hasn’t been watching his words.
Last week the controversial American unleashed a venomous statement declaring his intention to “decapitate” his 50-0 opponent.
He said: “I think I’m going to go in there and decapitate him in the first round.
“If it doesn’t happen, we’ll go for the second and then the third, and the fourth.
“Who knows it could go the distance, but it’s going to be a f***ing show regardless.”
