World’s Scariest Man becoming Thor Bjornsson’s next opponent "makes most sense"

Hafthor Bjornsson has admitted fighting the World’s Scariest Man “makes the most sense” following his boxing victory over Eddie Hall.

The Icelandic strongman won the ‘World’s Heaviest Boxing match’ after the two bitter rivals went head-to-head in Dubai. Thor proved too much for Hall as he knocked the Brit down twice, resulting in a win via decision as the bout went the distance.

But Bjornsson is already eyeing his next potential fight as he posted a YouTube video addressing the Hall clash and contemplating his future opponent. One of the names The Mountain reeled off was World’s Scariest Man Martyn Ford, a friend of Hall’s and another star in the world of celebrity fights.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Thor said: “I want to keep on boxing and I want to do what you guys love [to see]. In my opinion Martyn Ford or Mariusz Pudzianowski make the most sense.

“Martin Ford is supposed to be fighting end of April. He has to obviously win his fight for me to consider fighting him.”

Ford is still waiting to take on the Iranian Hulk – real name Sajad Gharibi – on April 30 at the O2 after their clash was rescheduled from April 2. The Englishman recently overpowered Gharibi as they tussled during their promotional face-off, but Thor is expected to provide a far greater threat if they agree terms.

Bjornsson told his 610,000 YouTube subscribers that he is also considering Polish strongman and mixed martial artist Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski, who holds a record five World’s Strongest Man titles, is believed to be more interested in an MMA clash than boxing, which could rule out the possibility of a fight between the pair.

Thor said: “I read somewhere that Pudzianowski only wants to do MMA. He’s been doing MMA for more than a decade so he’s a lot more experienced than me.

"He should not have an issue going into boxing against a man like myself.”
