Army vs. Navy live score, updates, highlights from 2021 football rivalry game

The Black Knights will look to earn a win against the Midshipmen on Saturday afternoon in one of college football’s greatest rivalry games.

Army (8-3) will face Navy (3-8) at MetLife Stadium to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. With a win against the Midshipmen, the Black Knights will move to 9-3 before they face Missouri in the Armed Forces Bowl on Dec. 22. Navy will be looking to end the season on a high note by capturing its second consecutive victory after defeating Temple on Nov. 27.

This matchup will likely be dominated on the ground because of the harsh weather conditions. According to the National Weather Service, a wind advisory warning is scheduled at 3 p.m. ET, just in time for kickoff. The gusts will range from around 14-29 mph, and there is also a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. Navy’s defense will likely see a heavy dose of Army running back Jakobi Buchanan, who led the team with 22 carries for 80 yards and three touchdowns against Liberty.

Army defeated Navy by a final score of 15-0 last year at Michie Stadium, shutting out its rival for the first time since 1969. This year, Army is favored by 7.5 points, according to FanDuel.
