Haas driver Mick Schumacher was involved in a crash into the barrier at the Monaco Grand Prix. The safety car was deployed after Schumacher went into the Swimming Pool chicane and the 23-year-old has confirmed he is out of the car and safe.

A red flag has been deployed to repair the barrier and the safety car has been out. Kevin Magnussen was forced out of the race before Schumacher hit the barriers and his car was split in two.

The German driver lost control at the Swimming Pool chicane and was unable to prevent his car from smashing into the barriers at high speed.

Magnussen suffered a loss of water pressure shortly before his team-mate was forced to retire.
