The West Coast versus Essendon pre-season game in Perth has been postponed due to lightning.
The match, being played Perth’s south-eastern suburb of Lathlain, was postponed by officials early in the second quarter. Essendon were leading by 13 points at that point.
Play was delayed for 15 minutes before players took to the field and resumed the match.
The start of the second quarter was also delayed because of the dangerous weather.
Essendon have looked good so far in the contest, in what is the first official pre-season game for both clubs.
Anthony McDonald-Tipungwuti has kicked two goals for the Bombers while Darcy Parish, Kyle Langford and Jayden Laverde kicked one each.
Jack Petrruccelle, Josh Kennedy and Jake Waterman kicked singles for West Coast.
