Allan Saint-Maximin sends Newcastle fans wild with wonder goal against Man Utd

Allan Saint-Maximin sent the Newcastle United fans wild with his wonder goal to open the scoring against Manchester United on Monday night.

The mercurial Frenchman put the Magpies ahead after just seven minutes at St James' Park after taking advantage of a mistake from Raphael Varane.

The United defender's error allowed Newcastle to regain possession before Saint-Maximin skipped beyond the challenges of two defenders and curled the ball into the top corner.

The goal was his fourth in the Premier League this season, allowing him to achieve his best league return since joining Newcastle back in the summer of 2019.

Fans were quick to heap praise on Saint-Maximin following his exceptional solo strike, with rival supporters also acknowledging his talent.

One fan tweeted: “Allan Saint-Maximin really is just so fun to watch. I want him to play for a better club, but I also like seeing him as a focal point at Newcastle.”

It would also mean they would only be in the bottom three on goal difference ahead of another crucial match away to Everton on Thursday.
