Arsenal are willing to meet Marc Cucurella's £21million release clause after monitoring the Barcelona star's progress, according to Sport Witness .
The Gunners are just one of a number of teams keeping tabs on the 21-year-old, with rivals Tottenham also among those in the mix.
Cucurella has been impressing out on loan at Getafe this season, operating either on the left of defence or midfield, and has played a hand in six goals in 25 appearances.
Atletico Madrid are also in contention for the youngster, while Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Monchengladbach and Sevilla hold an interest.
Getafe do have an option to buy Cucurella at the end of the season but only as part of a shared ownership agreement with Barca .
A deal under the current terms would see Getafe acquire 60 per cent of Cucurella's rights in exchange for €16million (£12.3m), while Barca would retain the other 40 per cent.
In order to sign Cucurella, potential suitors would therefore have to buy out both club's stakes, unless Getafe opt against signing the Spaniard.
However it is understood Getafe chairman Angel Torres plans to stump up the cash for Cucurella in the summer.
Arsenal meanwhile look set to miss out on another of their targets, Yan Couto, who has been hailed as the 'new Dani Alves'.
