Arsenal fans have been left in hysterics after the club released a clip from Amazon Prime's All or Nothing documentary.

It showed Mikel Arteta giving a rousing speech to his players after a dreadful start to the season where the Gunners had lost three out of three, including defeats to Chelsea and Manchester City. As the Spaniard poured his heart out, the camera panned to some incredible reactions.

With morale low in the Arsenal dressing room and the knives out across the fanbase, Arsenal took on Norwich at the Emirates in dire need of a victory. His speech to the squad included references to his open-heart surgery as a child and a confusing graph detailing his own emotional state after City smashed them 5-0.

"Post Man City, I had fear, I had insecurity, I had the media killing me – suddenly I have all the positives. I have an incredible family, a wife, three kids and another one – the club. The moment I go from there to here [negative to positive] is because of you guys.

"This week, I have found the purpose of why I want to be a coach, why I'm in the industry and why I have to be with these people. So far this guys, what I have to say, only from my side is thank you so much.

"In a difficult moment, you made the best week of my football career. Believe in yourself, I do. You are really good, the last thing I want to do as a coach is blame any of you in difficult moments, this is my responsibility and I will take the hit."

But while the speech was intended to spur the Gunners into action, many fans have noticed the players' faces, many of whom were left stunned or perplexed. "He had them baffed," one fan simply put it.

"What's my blud talking about," another wrote in response. And this fan ranted: "Precisely why I cannot get over excited about pre season.

"If these players need Arteta to draw a progression graph and tell a story about literal near death experience as a baby to get them motivated against Norwich then no wonder we crumble under the spotlight in the big games."
