Brighton are refusing to budge on their £50million-plus asking price for Ben White after reportedly turning down a £45million offer from Arsenal.
The Gunners have identified White, who is currently on international duty with England at Euro 2020, as a top transfer target in the summer window.
The two clubs are locked in talks over a potential deal for the 23-year-old defender, but The Sun claim Brighton have now rejected their first two offers.
They first turned down a bid worth an initial £40million plus £5million in add-ons, with Arsenal then raising the offer to £45million plus £5million in add-ons.
But Brighton are refusing to back down over their original asking price of £50million upfront followed by add-ons.
White still has three years remaining on his current contract, meaning the Seagulls hold the aces in negotiations with Arsenal over a potential transfer.
Mikel Arteta is on the hunt for a new centre-back ahead of David Luiz's departure at the end of the month.

But Arsenal will need to raise their offer if White is the man they want to fill that void.
The north London club are not only eyeing up a new central defender this summer, as reports suggest they are also interested in signing in-demand Italy midfielder Manuel Locatelli.
Locatelli is gaining plenty of admirers following a couple of impressive displays for Italy at Euro 2020, helping the Azzurri claim victory in their opening two fixtures.
Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport claim Arsenal have now launched an offer for the Sassuolo star, who is valued at around £35million.
