Arsenal have made five permanent signings made over the summer but, with the Monday’s transfer deadline approaching, supporters are keen to know if there will be any more arrivals at the Emirates. There could be some outgoings too, as we look at the latest transfer news surrounding the club.
Arsenal youngster could join Premier League new boys
Fulham have made an enquiry for Arsenal centre-back William Saliba, according to reports.
The French defender, who signed for the Gunners in the summer of 2019 for around £27 million before being loaned back to parent club Saint-Etienne, has yet to start a first-team game this season.
According to Get French Football News, Fulham are interested in taking the 19-year-old on loan to Craven Cottage as they widen their search for a centre-back.
The same outlet claims that Rennes had been in talks with Saliba, but the French side chose to bring in Juventus defender Daniele Rugani instead.
Leeds United have also been offered the chance to sign Saliba, the Daily Mail claims.

Toffees in for Greek defender
Another defender who could be heading for the Arsenal exit door is Sokratis Papastathpoulos.
The Sun’s print edition claims that Everton have been in contact over a deal for the Greek international centre-back.
Sokratis is unlikely to have a future at Arsenal and has also been in talks with Serie A side Napoli over the past couple of weeks.

Arteta “desperate” to bring Chelsea midfielder to Arsenal
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is desperate to sign Chelsea midfielder Jorginho, according to ESPN.
The Gunners look to have missed out on long-term target Houssem Aouar, with Lyon chiefs declaring that none of their players will leave before Monday’s transfer deadline.
It means that Arteta has turned his attention to the Italian international, who could be sold by Chelsea following their £250 million outlay on transfers over the summer.
The Gunners are eager to bring Jorginho to Arsenal in a loan deal, with the Blues hoping to bring in another midfielder before they sanction any possible move.

Arsenal target set to sign for Bayern
Arsenal look set to miss out on another one of their targets with Bayern Munich set to beat them to the signature of Marc Roca.
The defensive midfielder, who plays for Espanyol, was due to sign with the Champions League holders earlier this year.
However, after the club – who were relegated to the second division at the end of last season – realised they will struggle to pay his wages, they have decided to take a lower fee rather than accept the £35 million release clause, Spanish outlet Marca reports.
