The former Blades boss did not miss the chance to wish them well as he responded: "Enjoy yourself, but enjoy it by being disciplined," along with a winky face emoji.

Warnock's reply referenced his iconic quote from his self-titled documentary, which followed his Sheffield United side during the 2004/05 season.

During the documentary, Warnock famously urged his players to enjoy themselves by being disciplined during a pre-match team talk. The Blades went on to finish the season eighth in the Championship, missing out on the play-offs by six points.

Warnock spent eight years in the dugout at Bramall Lane between 1999 and 2007, winning promotion to the Premier League in 2006.

Is Neil Warnock the greatest manager in Championship history? Let us know in the comments section below.

He returned to management in February of this year, coming out of retirement to take over at Huddersfield Town on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

The appointment saw Warnock return for a second spell in charge of the Terriers following his first stint as boss between 1993 and 1995.

At the time of his arrival, Huddersfield were 23rd in the Championship and three points from safety, but have since won four of their 12 matches under Warnock.

His side are also currently on a run of just one loss in their last seven league matches, which has lifted Huddersfield out of the bottom three to 20th place, one point above the drop zone with three matches remaining.
