Brazilian starlet Tete talks up Premier League as ‘extraordinary competition’ with Shakhtar Donetsk winger admitting both Liverpool and Manchester United are among his ‘dream clubs’

Shakhtar Donetsk winger Tete has spoken highly of the Premier League and admitted that Liverpool and Manchester United are amongst the ‘dream clubs’ that he could join.
The 20-year-old has produced some impressive performances for Shakhtar since joining the club from Gremio in February 2019.
Tete has gained experience playing in the Champions League and revealed that Barcelona, Liverpool and United are the clubs that he would consider playing for if given the opportunity.

Tete told Esporte Interativo: ‘Three clubs are part of my dream in Europe: Barcelona, Manchester United and Liverpool.
‘Gigantic clubs with fantastic managers and an incredible number of trophies. As a player, I dream of winning important titles and those clubs are incredible options to achieve that.
‘I know United and Liverpool are rivals. But, if the moment of choosing one of them actually came about I would have to choose wisely.
‘The Premier League is an extraordinary competition, the game is played at a great pace, there are lots of great managers and great clubs.’

Tete, who is also capable of playing as an attacking midfielder, has made 18 appearances for Shakhtar this season, during which he has scored four goals and provided four assists.
In his first season at the club Tete helped Shakhtar to win both the Ukrainian Premier League and the domestic cup.
Last year Tete played for Brazil at the South American Under-20 championship.
Although Tete’s current contract with Shakhtar runs until the summer of 2023, he could well depart if a suitable offer is made for him.
