Chelsea transfer round-up: Moses set for new loan move away from Stamford Bridge

Chelsea have been busy in the transfer market this year, spending big on the likes of Kai Havertz and Timo Werner after a season of transition under Frank Lampard.

Monday’s deadline day was relatively straightforward for the Blues, who got their business done early.

The domestic transfer window doesn’t shut until October 16, so there may yet be a couple of outgoings, with several fringe players still at the club.

The likes of Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri and Antonio Rüdiger have yet to find a new club, and Chelsea will be keen to bring in some funds after their significant outlay this summer.

Here is the Chelsea transfer round-up on Saturday, October 10.

West Ham to double Chelsea target’s wages

West Ham intend to double Declan Rice’s wages amid continued interest from Chelsea, according to the Sun.

The Blues were unwilling to meet West Ham’s reported £80million asking price for the midfielder this summer.

They remain interested, though the Hammers want to offer Rice a new deal worth £120,000.

That would serve to further increase the 21-year-old’s value after an impressive start to the Premier League season.

Moses set for loan exit

Chelsea’s Victor Moses is on the verge of a loan move to Spartak Moscow, report Football365.

The 29-year-old has not played for the club since 2018 and is not in Frank Lampard’s plans this season.

Moses, having spent time on loan at Fenerbahce and Inter Milan, will move to Russia a week before the close of the transfer window.

“At the moment Victor isn’t in that position with us,” Lampard said last week. “We have a bubble at the training ground with the first-team squad, which Victor hasn’t been part of.”

Chelsea defender ‘No.1 target’ for Championship club

Chelsea youngster Jake Clarke-Salter is a top target for Sheffield Wednesday before the close of the domestic transfer window, claim Yorkshire Live.

The 23-year-old defender reportedly turned down offers from Belgium and Turkey.

Clarke-Salter has been unable to make the breakthrough at Chelsea and looks set to leave the club on loan in the next few days.
