Wayne Rooney hopes to bolster his strike force this morning with the signing of Stoke City striker Lee Gregory, who is undergoing a medical.
Huddersfield have been pushing to sign the 32-year old but Rooney’s Derby are close to completing a loan and former electrician Gregory is keen to join.
Gregory has struggled for game time under Michael O’Neill with Steven Fletcher chosen to lead the line and Tyrese Campbell emerging as a promising option.

The Derby target has scored once in six appearances for the Potters in the Championship this term.
Derby have agreed to take Manchester United defender Teden Mengi on loan on Sunday and Rangers defender George Edmundson.
Mengi, 18, has trained with United’s first team squad and is highly regarded at Old Trafford so his development with Derby will be monitored closely.
