Edinson Cavani has posted a video of himself wearing Manchester United training kit amid news his debut is set to be delayed. Experienced former Paris Saint-Germain striker Cavani joined United on a one-year deal with the option of a further season on transfer deadline day.
News emerged on Wednesday that the Uruguay star will have to wait to make his debut for the Red Devils.
Cavani has to undertake a 14-day quarantine period – which started on Sunday – so rules him out of the trip to Newcastle on October 17.
There is an exemption from the government for elite athletes but Cavani does not fit that criteria because he has been without a club and therefore not part of a secure bubble.
But the forward is doing all he can at his new home to get ready for when he can step on the field.
