Everton have found themselves a new lucky charm in the form of a dog who was carried through the crowds before their crucial win over Chelsea.
Myra, a four-year-old Belgian Malinois, went viral after a clip of her being carried outside Goodison Park ahead of kick-off was shared to social media. Toffees supporters had gathered in their thousands to show Frank Lampard and his squad their support, leaving no room for her owners to walk her.
With Everton going on to grab a 1-0 victory, many fans have hailed Myra's appearance and recalled former manager Joe Royle's famous "Dogs of War" team that won the FA Cup in 1995.
Speaking to Toffee Web, Myra's owner Reece Van-Aston-Kerrigan explained he and his partner had taken their pet out for a walk, unaware there was plans for fans to gather outside the ground early as they aren't football fans.
“In all honestly, I thought ‘f*** this’, so I picked the dog up and started walking with her in my arms just to get through," Reece said. "We’ve pushed her above our heads to get through and then we just heard this mighty roar ‘Waheyyyy’. Everyone was clapping, everyone was cheering."

Since that moment Myra has joined the likes of Tony Hibbert and Daniel Amokachi as an Everton cult hero. One tweet read: "All hail the newly appointed and Official @Everton Dog. His appearance outside Goodison Park today blessed us with 3 points today, so he should be worshipped accordingly.
"They might have a bus tour with 4 trophies. But if we stay up I want Everton to do one with the Everton dog," joked one post in reference to the quadruple hopes of rivals Liverpool.
Another fan wrote: "If this dog isn't tracked down and paraded around the perimeter of Goodison Park in some sort of canine Sedan chair before the Brentford game are Everton even taking the portents of the relegation battle seriously?"
With there plenty still being plenty of work to do on the pitch for Everton to avoid relegation, there has been mass calls for Myra, who now has her own Twitter account, to return. The response is one which will be music to every supporter's ears. “We’re more than likely going to do it again on the 15th," declared her owner.
