Kylian Mbappe's future at Paris Saint-Germain looks set to be decided this week with the French giants making contingency plans for a replacement in the event of his departure.
Both Liverpool and Real Madrid have been the main clubs linked with Mbappe this summer with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.
Reports in France now suggest that his situation will be resolved this week but that the only concrete offer for the 22-year-old has come from an English club.
This believed to be Liverpool, so here is everything Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has said about Kylian Mbappe since Liverpool were first linked with the forward.
Speaking in 2019 when asked about Liverpool's reported interest in Mbappe, Klopp shot down the rumours by stating "Buying this calibre of player is difficult. I don't see any club at the moment who can buy Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
"We are involved in the clubs that cannot do it. It is as easy as that. "Okay, from a sporting point of view there are not a lot of reasons to not sign him. What a player he is.
"But it is about the money, of course. No chance. Absolutely no chance. Sorry for killing that story."
Liverpool have continued to be linked with Mbappe, however, and RMC Sport are now reporting that an English club have submitted an offer this summer.

This club is widely believed to be Liverpool, who have made just one signing this summer, and Mbappe is understood to be open to a move to Anfield.
They also report that there is a new five-year-deal on the table from PSG, with the club having the option of a further year but that it has yet to be extended.
However, speaking in May, Klopp once again played down the chances of Liverpool signing Mbappe due to the state of the transfer market following the pandemic.
"The market will be really strange. I hear a lot about big-money moves, is Mbappe going or not, [Erling] Haaland, [Jadon] Sancho, these kind of things.
"I don't see that happening a lot this summer because the football world is still not in the same place it was before."
Mbappe has also commented on the the Premier League and for Liverpool in the past and praised Klopp's side following their league title win in 2020.
"This season, Liverpool have been a machine in the Premier League. They have made winning look easy but the truth is that it is never easy.
"Performances like they have been having don't just happen. To be as ruthless as they have been would come from lots of hard work in training and from having a very good manager."
PSG reportedly hope that the contract offer they have out to Mbappe will be enough to secure his long-term future with the club but they have made plans in the event he does leave the club before the transfer deadline.
RMC Sport also suggest that the Parisiens want to sign Everton's Brazilian forward Richarlison as a replacement for Mbappe, having also been linked with Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
