Arsenal fans have branded Mikel Arteta's starting side against Norwich as 'League Cup fodder' as the Gunners look for their first win of the season.
Arteta's side have struggled so far this season, and they have failed to score a goal in their opening three games.
However, Arsenal spent big over the summer as Arteta looked to rebuild his side.
But despite all their new signings, Arsenal fans aren't impressed with the midfield that started against Norwich on Saturday afternoon.
Wantaway midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles started alongside two summer signings, with Albert Sambi Lokonga and Martin Odegaard joining him in the middle of the park.
"[Thomas]Partey isn't ready to start games? That midfield looks like a League Cup team," one fan questioned on Twitter.
"Why would Arteta f*** us like this! Where is Leno? Too many new players at once…this is our chance to win 3pts, and we will waste it," another said.
A third tweeted: "Imagine starting Niles in midfield, This is just appeasement. It’s [a] weak mentality showing that there are no consequences for acting out on social media."
However, not all were outraged: "Honestly apart from Partey missing, this is probably one of the strongest lineup we can expect to see this season, bar ESR rotating."

Most of the criticism surrounds Partey, and Arteta recently challenged him to step up in his pre-match press conference.
“He has been missing for the last year or so, because he missed almost six months of competition last year, which is a lot, because he came very late as well in the transfer window.
“He is a player that has to be one of the leaders, he has to be the boss in midfield and one of the senior players that has to carry responsibility out of the young players and lead. We have been missing that big time.
“He is a player that has that winning culture, because he has won a lot in the game already, and to have these kind of players in the team is extremely important.
"So he has got a huge role to play in the team.”
