FIFA 21 Ratings: Top 100 player ratings released as Lionel Messi edges Cristiano Ronaldo

Lionel Messi will be the highest-rated player in FIFA 21, having edged rival Cristiano Ronaldo to the crown ahead of the game’s release on October 9. EA Sports have finally released their full top 100 ratings today and it’s very much good news for Liverpool fans. That’s because they have three players inside the top ten, more than any other club.

Fans have been patiently awaiting confirmation of the official ratings for several weeks and they were finally given the assurance they needed this afternoon.

There were no surprises to see Messi and Ronaldo make up the top two, but it’s the Barcelona star who has pipped Ronaldo to a 93 rating.

Just like FIFA 19, Juventus will not be in the new video game with the Old Lady down as Piemonte Calcio as part of a licensing agreement with Pro Evolution Soccer.

Nonetheless, Ronaldo has landed himself a 92 rating and will be the man many gamers are hoping to land in FIFA Ultimate Team packs.

Robert Lewandowski may not win the Ballon d’Or but he will be delighted to see his rating go up one from last year to 91.

The Bayern Munich star helped the Bavarians win a memorable treble as he struck 55 times in all competitions last season.

Kevin De Bruyne is the highest-rated Premier League player with a 91 overall after winning the PFA Player of the Year award.

Elsewhere, Paris Saint-Germain duo Kylian Mbappe and Neymar have landed a 90 ratings despite their shortcomings in the Champions League final.

Jan Oblak is the best goalkeeper in the game and also has a 90 rating alongside Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

Here’s how the rest of the top 100 players are rated…
