Jadon Sancho is unhappy at the current Manchester United transfer saga, it has been claimed. The Borussia Dortmund star was expected to play some part in his side’s Bundesliga clash with Freiburg. However, he’s now been left out of the squad – though Dortmund insist it’s down to illness, rather than a desire to leave.
Manchester United have endured a quiet transfer window, with Donny van de Beek their sole arrival so far.
And, with just over 48 hours of the window remaining, Ed Woodward and Matt Judge are working hard to ensure more new faces arrive.
United are still hopeful of signing Sancho and the player was left out of the squad for Dortmund’s Bundesliga showdown with Freiburg on Saturday afternoon.
And, now, journalist Constantin Eckner has claimed Sancho is unhappy about the situation and Dortmund want his ‘head back’ after the international break.
“Dortmund wanted to play #Sancho today, but it doesn’t make sense if he is still unhappy about the situation,” he tweeted.

“They hope his head is back in the game after the international break.”
United have seen one bid for Sancho rejected so far and Dortmund have repeatedly insisted he’s going nowhere, with the club having little time to bring in a replacement.
There retains a confidence a deal for the 20-year-old will happen but the Red Devils have started to look at alternatives, with Ousmane Dembele being eyed.
The Barcelona star has struggled with form and fitness during his time at the Nou Camp and the La Liga titans want to cut him loose.
United would like a loan deal but are reportedly prepared to pay a fee of £45million to bring the France international to Old Trafford, where he’d link up with compatriots Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial.

Meanwhile, United legend Rio Ferdinand has slammed the club’s transfer business, saying: “The most frustrating thing for Man Utd fans, is that we’ve all been very aware of who the targets were at the beginning of the window.
“That’s the frustrating element.
“You look at it, is Covid playing a part in the financials? There’s purse strings having to be pulled a little bit.
“We saw left-back and right-wing are the areas they are looking for but then all of a sudden the season starts, the players haven’t been brought in.
“All of a sudden a defeat to Palace at home absolutely ignites the negativity that surrounds the place and makes it a situation it never was.

“We rewind two months previous, everyone was saying, ‘Well done, Ole’.
“Got them into Champions League position, the club’s on this upward trajectory now and two months – because there’s not been the signings and a first defeat of the season at home – really changes the picture massively for the club.”
As well as Sancho and Dembele, Alex Telles is also on United’s radar.
The Porto star wants to move to the Premier League and will become a free agent at the end of the season.
However, in a bitter blow, Telles has reportedly been offered to Manchester City – who are keen to make defensive signings of their own.
