Jesse Lingard details Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s role during coronavirus lockdown

Jesse Lingard and his Manchester United team-mates are still in regular contact with boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as they look to maintain a tight bond.

Football in England has been postponed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It has led the government to issue a lockdown meaning people should not leave their household other than for essential needs.

Prior to the suspension of the Premier League United were beginning to build some serious momentum which peaked when they saw off rivals Manchester City.

Solskjaer may well have turned a corner at Old Trafford as he eyes a return to the Champions League.

And Lingard revealed that the players as well as the coaches are keeping in regular contact while also sharing ways to stay in shape.

"We have a WhatsApp group with the fitness coach," he told Sky Sports News . "He's giving us daily fitness plans to do all week, so we're all keeping active.

"We're in contact with the manager and the coaching staff, seeing how they're getting on, so we're still a tight-knit group."

The 26-year-old is known for his flamboyant personality and recently posted a video of himself showing off his talents with a ball at his feet.
