Jurgen Klopp astounded by moustache as Liverpool boss left in hysterics

Jurgen Klopp was left astounded by a moustache during a post-match interview, leaving the Liverpool boss in hysterics.

The German saw his players see off Midtjylland 2-0 in their second Champions League game of the campaign.

After struggling in the first half, Diogo Jota finished off a slick move before Mohamed Salah slotted a penalty in stoppage time.

Despite the victory, Klopp showed his competitive nature in a furious rant at his opposing manager.

But footage has emerged of the Reds boss getting a smile on his face because of a moustache.

He is being interviewed by Esporte Interativo reporter Fred Caldeira after the win at Anfield.

The manager, though, comes into shout with a big smile on his face while laughing at the reporter.

He hints that it is because of the interviewer’s moustache, putting his fingers to his own lip, as the reporter says: “I know, it’s shocking.”

And Klopp adds: “Who is it, that Colombian movie with the drug dealer.”

The reported quickly replies “Pablo Escobar”, which leaves the German in fits of laughter.

As leader of the Medellin Cartel, the Colombian drug lord was dubbed the “King of Cocaine” before being killed in 1993.

But he was also famous for his moustache, something that Caldeira referred to when he posted the clip on Twitter.

“Now it's official: even Klopp called me Pablo Escobar,” he wrote as the clip earned over 150,000 views within hours of posting.

The manager was not happy with a tackle on Jordan Henderson – but he did not hold onto the anger at Midtjylland’s manager.

“No, not at all. What Midtjylland did tonight was absolutely brilliant. I loved it,” Klopp added.

“I’m obsessed with organisation, and how they filled the game with life and caused us problems, it gets all my respect.

“In that situation (the Henderson tackle), the discussion at that moment was that it was a foul.

“Maybe my colleague was already celebrating the situation (of Midtjylland pressing) and didn’t see it was a foul. There was nothing else.”

But he has a new challenge to deal with after stand-in centre-back Fabinho picked up a knock in the Champions League.
