Massimiliano Allegri has asked Juventus chiefs to buy him a new centre-forward this summer – and Harry Kane is reportedly on their shortlist.

Allegri is set to undergo a squad revamp at Juve after heading back for a second stint in charge of the Italian giants two years after departing.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from the club, while the likes of Paulo Dybala and Aaron Ramsey are also facing uncertain futures.

Yet while there are expected to be a few outgoings in Turin this summer, Allegri is also keen to bolster his attack with a marquee signing upfront.

And according to Calcio Mercato, Juve have made more than one approach for Kane, who is looking to leave Tottenham in the summer transfer window.

The England captain has spoken openly about his desire to move on after 12 years in north London, insisting in a recent interview with Gary Neville that he is desperate to finally get his hands on silverware having failed to win trophies at Spurs.

However, the report states that Juve are already finding their pursuit of Kane difficult, as Spurs chief Daniel Levy has slapped a £130million price tag on his star striker.

Levy is said to be the biggest 'obstacle' in negotiations over a deal, but he is unlikely to let Kane go on the cheap given he still has over three years remaining on his current contract.

The 27-year-old's salary, believed to be worth £10million per year, is not expected to be a problem for Juve should they make a breakthrough in talks with Spurs.

Reports suggest their wage budget could be freed up by the departure of Ronaldo, whose team have made contact with Paris St-Germain as well as former clubs Manchester United and Real Madrid over a potential move.
