Leeds are set to sign a massive deal with Adidas next season, according to an expert – and it could go through even if they miss out on Premier League football.
Marcelo Balsa’s side are currently second in the Championship, meaning they would secure promotion to the top flight.
The Whites came close to a return last season before losing the play-off semi-final to Derby last season.
But, with 12 games to go, they are on for their first top-flight season in 16 years.
And it has seen Adidas come in for a kit sponsorship deal, with The Athletic Leeds correspondent Phil Hay giving an update.

Wolves and Burnley will battle Sheffield United for Leeds hero Kalvin Phillips
In a Q&A session with fans, the correspondent is asked if there are any more details on the deal.
And Hay said: “Neither Leeds nor Adidas are saying anything about this but a source told The Athletic last week that Adidas will definitely supply United’s kit next season, replacing Kappa at the end of the Italian firm’s five-year deal.
“Kappa’s contract is a very good one by Championship standards.
Marcelo Bielsa explains Kiko Casilla thoughts after Leeds' 1-0 win over Reading
“When it was signed, I was told that Leeds stood to earn in the region of £2 million annually from it, depending on shirt sales (and Leeds sell a lot of shirts).
“Most kit contracts include an uplift in the event of promotion to a higher league, so an agreement with Adidas would undoubtedly be worth more in the Premier League, and the German manufacturer also has the infrastructure to sell increased amounts of merchandise.

Leeds’ star man Pablo Hernandez was the hero as they saw off Reading 1-0 at Elland Road on Saturday.
While Bielsa’s side are vying for promotion, they are set to lose Kalvin Phillips to Wolves or Burnley.
