Sergio Aguero steps up… and Schmeichel saves!

City have had an awful record from the spot this season, and once again, the ball doesn’t hit the back of the net from 12 yards.

Well, if City score this, Rodgers will be even more angry about the no penalty call from the first half.

60 min: Corner to City as the ball flicks off Fuchs. Mahrez swings it in, but it’s headed clear. Gundogan takes a shot as it comes out to him and it’s deflected wide. Again.. the man’s hand is up in the air, and VAR is being checked

Otamendi on for Laporte, who’s getting his rest. Man City have a lot of big games coming up, not least Real Madrid in the Champions League

Leicester are doing a great job of keeping Sergio Aguero quiet so far. He hasn’t had a touch inside the box yet, and hasn’t had a shot either. Then again, it’s been hard for Leicester to get Vardy on the ball too.

53 min: De Bruyne gets a bit of space, and takes a low shot from just inside the box, but Schmeichel gets down really well to his right to save

50 min: City take the ball off Vardy, but they’re not terribly interested in getting men forward at the moment, much to the chagrin of Pep Guardiola on the sideline. A bit more pace needed from the reigning champions

49 min: Nice link up play from Leicester, and they’ve got four people in the box as the ball comes in. Vardy tries to flick it on, but it doesn’t fall to a Leicester player. In fact, if he had left it, Maddison might have been able to have the better opportunity

46 min: Second half gets going, and Leicester get it down the right hand side, Barnes straight into the action, but he can’t find the right cross and it’s straight at Ederson.

Harvey Barnes come on to replace Iheanacho, probably due to his clash with Ederson in the first half

And that’s the last kick of the half, as the referee calls time. No goals yet, but an intriguing one. Both teams have gone close, and you feel there are goals to come here in the second half.

Brendan Rodgers probably the slightly happier of the managers so far, although City have commanded most of the possession. He might feel aggrieved not to have got a penalty for either the KDB handball or the Ederson challenge on Iheanacho

45+1min: Chance late on for City, as Aguero is brought down right on the edge of the box. Can De Bruyne or Mahrez conjure something to close out the half?

It is Mahrez to take, but it’s well wide, which the home crowd loves.

45 min: Aguero has the ball in the back of the net after curling it around Schmeichel, but he was clearly offside, and the linesman confirms it

42 min: Meanwhile, Maddison sends the corner in, the ball pops up nicely for Tielemans on the edge of the box, but he’s charged down. Iheanacho jogs back onto the pitch

39 min: The ball loops into the box as Iheanacho looks to get his head on the end of it, but Ederson gets there first and clatters into the Leicester man. He hits the deck, and it looks like a big collision on the replay, but he’s sitting up now

He’s helped up to his feet, and appears shaken up, but it looks like he’ll continue

37 min: Maddison does indeed do better, getting it up and over, but Ederson gets to it at full stretch, pushing it wide for a corner.

36 min: More good feet from Leicester, this time Chilwell gets down the left, skipping past a challenge or two. They’re a little slow in the build up despite a lot of players getting forward, but they earn a free kick

Maddison steps up again, hoping to get it over the wall this time.

35 min: KDB passes the ball through to Bernardo Silva, who cuts it across the penalty area but no City players want to get their boot on the end of it!

32 min: Another long way out for KDB, and he decides to take a shot there. It’s nowhere close, the ball heading high and wide to jeers from the Leicester fans.

27 min: Great feet from Iheanacho under pressure, taking it past a couple of players and getting bundled over for a free kick just outside the area. Maddison standing over it… it hits the wall and the fans cry out for handball, but there’s no appeal from the players and it falls harmlessly for Ederson.

De Bruyne doesn’t cover himself in glory there… He doesn’t jump with the rest of the wall, and he does raise his hands as the ball comes towards him and it brushes past. A little lucky, perhaps

27 min: Beautiful cross field ball from De Bruyne to Mahrez, and Manchester City are really passing it well. They just need to find that final ball, and Mendy fails to do so, putting the ball straight into Schmeichel’s hands

24 min: Mahrez finds some space in the box and lays it off for Kevin De Bruyne, but he can’t get his shot on target

20 min: Iheanacho finds himself clear thanks to a Maddison pass, but he’s a foot or so offside, and his shot rebounds off Ederson anyway

17 min: It’s a long way out, but De Bruyne is probably going to try and put a cross in. He does so, and Rodri gets up to head, but it’s out for another corner. A bit of a nervy clearance from Leicester, and Mendy takes a long range strike, deflected out for another corner. Finally Leicester can clear the danger when the referee calls for a foul.

17 min: More good one-touch passing, and Aguero lays it off for Gundogan in the box, but he doesn’t quite catch it right, and Schmeichel knocks it out for a corner

14 min: Things have calmed down in the past few minutes. Sharp passing from City just outside the box, and De Bruyne surges in, but fouls his man as he tries to get on the end of it.

9 min: Mahrez takes a shot from range, and Schmeichel is equal to it, beating the ball away. Both teams up for this one

8 min: Laporte gives the ball away and the ball comes through to Vardy who’s one on one with the keeper! He beats him, but it rebounds right off the post! Will Leicester live to regret that huge chance?

6 min: Chilwell tries to go round the outside of Fernandinho, and there are some weak cries for a penalty as he goes down in the box, but the referee waves it away. Bright start from the home team so far

4 min: Maddison finds an incisive pass through to Iheanacho in the box, but he can’t bring it under control and it trickles out for a goal kick

Riyad Mahrez gets booed with his first touch on his return to the King Power Stadium, a former Leicester player, of course.

2 min: Manchester City keep the ball for the first couple of minutes, knocking it around the back and midfield. De Bruyne comes forwards and puts the ball out wide for Kyle Walker to put in a cross, but Leicester clear the danger up to Vardy, who can’t get past Laporte.

And away we go! Leicester in blue, City in their bright yellow kit

It’s been an action-packed day in the Premier League, as usual. Here are all the results so far, before this late game kicks off.

Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham

Burnley 3-0 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace 1-0 Newcastle

Sheffield United 1-1 Brighton

Southampton 2-0 Aston Villa

No away wins so far…

Both sets of teams are limbering up ahead of kick off. Weather looks a bit grim out there, but hopefully shouldn’t affect things too much

Leicester have dedicated today’s match to the Football v Homophobia campaign

Pep Guardiola leads the Manchester City players off the bus as they arrive at the King Power Stadium. They’ll be out for their warm ups in a little while.

Manchester City won the first meeting between these two teams back in December 3-1, with Riyad Mahrez, Ilkay Gundogan, and Gabriel Jesus getting on the score sheet.

Jamie Vardy got Leicester’s goal on that day, and believe it or not, that’s the last time he scored in the league.

The Foxes have only got one win over the reigning Premier League champions since 2017.
