Liverpool fans think they’ve spotted Mohamed Salah putting in an overtime shift at Anfield – as a security guard. The Egyptian has been in electric form on the pitch this season, and it appears a ‘lookalike’ has been hard at work outside the ground too.
Reds supporters spotted the ‘doppleganger’ for Salah in the club’s ‘Inside Anfield’ video from Monday’s thrilling 3-2 win over West Ham.
Liverpool kept their remarkable winning run going against the Irons despite falling 3-2 behind.
But rather than be enthralled by the action on the pitch, it was the lookalike of Salah at the beginning of the video which had fans in stitches.
At the start of the clip, a supporter is seen being given a routine pat-down by a steward before entering the turnstiles at Anfield.
So far, so ordinary.
But it was the person doing the security check which caught the eye, with the employee bearing a resemblance to Salah.
Salah doing security,” said one fan in the comments section below the video. “Mo doing his job as a guard,” added another.
A third posted: “mosalah security job..hahaha.” Another wrote: “0:13 Mo Salah stunt double and Anfield security personnel.”
A fifth posted: “Mo Salah working as a steward at 0:12, the guy can do it all.”

“0:17 Salah doing security job and then scoring the 2nd goal hats off,” joked another Liverpool fan.
Reds legend Jamie Carragher thinks the club’s fanbase don’t appreciate just how good Salah is.
“Certainly going from that first season to what he is doing now, there has been a bit of a dip,” said Carragher on Sky Sports’s Monday Night Football following the 3-2 win.
“But he was never going to score another 47 goals in a season.

A Liverpool fan jokes about the Eqyptian’s lookalike
“Speaking to Liverpool fans and looking at social media, I think Liverpool have got six world-class players. I think they have the goalkeeper, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Salah.
“I think if you asked Liverpool fans whether they would take big money for the other five, they would all say no, no matter what the money.
“There is no way they would sell Alisson or Van Dijk. But if you offered them £130m for Salah, they would think about it. That is why I say he is underappreciated.”
On his weaknesses, Carragher added: “There is also no doubt that there is a selfish side to him. We saw that come out with Mane earlier in the season. When Salah is in position all he is thinking is whether he can score. At times, that’s a frustration.”
