Manchester United forward Jesse Lingard has been called out by Jamie Carragher for his decision to link up with Mino Raiola.
The super agent already has Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Zlatan Ibrahimovic as clients among others but has been vocally critical of United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The failed talks to bring Erling Haaland to Old Trafford caused more tension after Pogba wasn’t allowed to leave, with the Italian-born Dutchman launching into a stunning rant last week.
Carragher has now questioned how a player could risk angering their manager by agreeing to work with someone he has publicly clashed with on more than one occasion.

“Raiola is not likeable, but he is successful. The flip side of that is he provokes negative headlines,” he wrote in his Telegraph column.
“Those who choose to work with him – Jesse Lingard the most recent to join his circle – evidently believe that is a price worth paying.
“I have to admit I struggle with that.
“I find it staggering a player would sign up with an agent so openly critical of his club’s manager.”

Raiola had said of Solskjaer in relation to Pogba before their match against Chelsea with a social media post which read: “Paul is not mine and for sure not Solskjaer’s property, Paul is Paul Pogba’s.
“You cannot own a human being already for a long time in the UK or anywhere else.
“I HOPE Solskjaer DO NOT WANT TO SUGGEST THAT PAUL IS HIS PRISONER.
“BUT BEFORE Solskjaer makes comments about things I say he better about the content of what has been said.”

"Paul knows he has to work hard to get back to his best,” the former Cardiff boss had said of his midfielder.
"He has been out now for so long now, it's a challenge to get back into shape."
Before adding: “Well of course, I'd like to say that as soon as he gets fit, he'll be good enough to play for the team.
“I’m sure Paul's desperate to play for us again.”
