Man Utd fans want ‘agent’ Jesse Lingard to help sign Bayern star Serge Gnabry

Manchester United fans may have come to terms with the fact that Jesse Lingard could leave Old Trafford this summer, but they have urged the star to leave them with a parting gift.

Lingard has been dubbed as an 'agent' during the international break, as the England international met up with Bayern Munich star Serge Gnabry. And fans are dreaming, speculating that Lingard may be trying to tempt the German into a move to United.

The United midfielder hasn't seen much game time recently, despite being promised more action by former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the start of the season. But although it seemed as though he was enjoying a relaxing international break, perhaps he was still working but in a different way.

It's without doubt that Gnabry was the star that surprirsed many, as the former Arsenal academy graduate even failed to impress while on loan at West Bromwich Albion. But the German has become a pivotal part of Bayern's side since signing in 2017, and he's now a regular for the national team.

United have been interested in Gnabry in the past, and the winger is yet to sign a new deal at the Allianz Arena, suggesting that a potential exit could be on the cards. And after it didn't work out for Gnabry at Arsenal, he could be relishing another chance in England.

According to Sky Germany, Bayern have so far failed to meet his wage requirements, and now some of Europe's elite clubs are monitoring the situation, including United. And Red Devils fans are hoping that Lingard could convince him to join, even if he is heading out the door.

One fan dubbed him as 'agent Jesse' on Twitter, as they wrote: "Agent JLingz bringing in a RW before he leaves." But after the club signed Jadon Sancho in the summer, another similar addition may be unlikely.

Lingard flourished on loan at West Ham last season, and decided to stay at United and work his way back into the team. However, he has become a forgotten man once more, and it's likely he will leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

But when one door closes, another one opens, and perhaps it could pave way for Gnabry to move, with United more likely to comply with his demands. But with United looking likely to miss out on Champions League football, they could face a summer of missed targets.
