Manchester United’s 3-1 win over Burnley on Thursday saw yet another goal for Cristiano Ronaldo this season, with the Portugal star claiming his eighth goal in just 15 Premier League games. And with the Red Devils set to face Wolves in their next clash on Monday, fellow Portugal native Bruno Lage has jokingly claimed there is an offer for Ronaldo to join his Molineux-based side.

The club have now gone six league games without defeat in the Premier League, and eight games in all competitions – with their last defeat coming against Watford on November 20, in what was Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s last game in charge.

Reports previously suggested that Ronaldo was unhappy at the club amid the uncertainty around managerial futures.

But recent performances have put an end to those rumours, with five goals in his last five.

And Lage has praised Ronaldo for his integrity and excellence – jokingly stating he is always welcome at Molineux if he fancies a change of scenery.

“He is a machine for that,” Lage said. “He is a massive player. Every team in the world would like a player like him.

“If they are not happy with him, I have a place for him here. I know they are happy with him.”

Wolves boss Lage has done a superb job at the helm since his arrival over the summer.

Lage replaced him, and many remained apprehensive over his appointment after failing to win a piece of silverware at Benfica last season.

But Wolves sit just six points behind United in eighth, with their Europa League dreams still intact.

The Red Devils had dropped as low as eighth after the loss to Watford.

And Rangnick will look to make it seven unbeaten at home to Lage’s men.
