Bruno Fernandes’ arrival in the January transfer window leaves Manchester United with a big decision to make this summer, according to former striker Robin van Perise.
It is no secret Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be given the necessary funds to bolster his attacking ranks.
Fernandes joined from Sporting Lisbon last month for an initial £46million fee and has seamlessly slotted into the heart of the team.
Paul Pogba is expected to have played his final match for the Red Devils and will likely try to force through a move to Real Madrid or Juventus.
Leicester’s James Maddison and Jack Grealish, of Aston Villa, are two stars considered adequate replacements.
But Van Persie has warned Solskjaer he must choose his next addition carefully to ensure Fernandes can flourish in his central role.
“Maybe one midfielder in a playmaker role,” Van Persie told Sportbible.
“Though to be fair I watched Bruno Fernandes against Chelsea and he looks very good to me, very silky.
“But I would add one other one to put next to him, then with one player who stops the opponent attacking, that is what I like to see.
“I like to play with five attacking, creative minded players.”

United will also be looking to sign a new forward as they are short of players to lead the line.
Marcus Rashford has had to shoulder the burden this year but he is currently sidelined through injury.
Odion Ighalo was desperately drafted in on deadline day last month but he is expected to return to the Chinese Super League.
So Van Persie thinks his ex-club should make an attempt to buy Paris-Saint Germain’s Edinson Cavani.
“Edinson Cavani. I would definitely go for Cavani,” the Dutchman explained.
“He’s very fit, he’s a proven goalscorer, a goal machine, he has proven it at Napoli, PSG and Uruguay.
“With him, if he starts, he will get you 25 goals a season.
“I’ve watched him play, I’ve played against him, he is like a proper goalscorer.
“He lives by scoring goals so I’d go for him.”
