Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes showed his frustration in the second half of Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Chelsea.
The Portuguese playmaker received the ball out wide on the left and asked Luke Shaw to overlap, only for him to fail to respond.
Fernandes looked clearly frustrated as he was forced to pass inside with Shaw failing to offer another attacking option as the Red Devils looked to find a winner.
There is no doubt the Portuguese playmaker is with an attacking mindset and his discontent with a somewhat defensive setup was obvious to see.
But United might already have a solution to that problem after their signing of Alex Telles.
The Brazilian left-back, snapped up from Porto on deadline day, has shown his capabilities as an attacking threat.
He made an impressive debut against Paris Saint-Germain, leading to manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer stating: ‘“You can see Alex [Telles] on his debut, what he’s going to give us. His delivery was great.”
Fernandes will hope Solskjaer shows a willingness to use Telles’ attacking capabilities moving forwards to give him another outlet in attack.
After joining the club, Telles revealed he spoke to former Sporting Lisbon ace Fernandes about the move.
He said: “I spoke to Diogo (Dalot) and he sent me a message to wish me good luck.
”United is a big club and I want to help United grow as a football club.
“I believe I’m going to meet a marvellous group. I’ve spoken to Bruno Fernandes and he’s said how welcoming the boys are. I believe I will settle very well into the group.”
