Manchester United will be without striker Edinson Cavani for their must-win clash with rivals Manchester City.
Having missed four games with injury, the Uruguayan returned to the starting line-up for United’s last match, a 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace.
However, Cavani was among the players who checked into the Lowry hotel for the trip across town to the Etihad.
Anthony Martial, who missed the Palace game with knee trouble is expected to return and lead the line once again.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will also be without Paul Pogba as the Frenchmen continues his recovery from a thigh injury.
Juan Mata is also a long-term absentee while Donny van de Beek also remains sidelined with an unspecified injury.
In goal, Dean Henderson will continue to deputise for David de Gea as the Spanish stopper remains in his homeland following the birth of his first child.
Victor Lindelof, who also missed the Palace draw with back trouble, has returned to the squad and is in contention for a starting place.
"I'd believe at least Victor should be fine,” Solskjaer said of the Swedish defender.
“He was on the bench. He was still feeling the effects of his back but hopefully he'll be OK.”
Youngsters Shola Shoretire and Amad Diallo have also been included in the squad.
United sit 14 points behind Pep Guardiola’s rampant City in the table and know three points is a must if they are to keep their faint title hopes alive.
Their opponents come into the game on the back of a 21-game winning run in all competitions including 15 in the Premier League.
Meanwhile United have won just three of their last ten in the league as they have fallen away from the summit.
