Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may not sign RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg because of the presence of Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford, reports say. The Red Devils supposedly have a shot at landing the Sweden international, who is keen to move to the Premier League this summer.
Manchester United signed Fernandes in January and have seen the former Sporting Lisbon star hit the ground running, scoring once and weighing in with two assists so far.
Despite that, SportBild claim that United have a chance of signing RB Leipzig star Forsberg at the end of the campaign.
The Sweden international’s contract in Germany expires at the end of next season and he’s supposedly decided the time is right for a new challenge.
United, as well as Tottenham, Arsenal, Leicester and Everton, are all listed as being in with a shot of landing Forsberg.
He’s said to have been ‘massively offered’ to Premier League clubs amid uncertainty over his Leipzig future.

But the report admits that United boss Solskjaer may not sign the 28-year-old – because of Fernandes.
While Forsberg can play on the left, he’s also capable of playing down the middle.
And with United having both Fernandes and Paul Pogba on their books, it doesn’t seem like Solskjaer will go for his fellow Scandinavian.
Things could have been different had the Red Devils not signed Fernandes back in January.
But they did and it appears that the fine form of the Portugal international, coupled with Pogba’s presence at the club, may influence their thinking.

Forsberg would also have difficult getting game time on the left wing.
When fully fit, Marcus Rashford is usually deployed there and the England international has been sensational this season.
Daniel James also prefers to play there, rather than the right.
And Anthony Martial, while he’s been played down the middle this season, is another option for Solskjaer.
Meanwhile, speaking on Tuesday, United chief Ed Woodward admitted the club would target big-name players this summer.
“This season is one of rebuild, with many changes to the squad – in terms of players who have left or gone out on loan; new players who we have brought into the club; and academy graduates that we have brought through to the first team,” Woodward said.
“This process will continue as we implement our plan and our footballing vision under Ole and his coaching staff.
“Despite being linked in the media to 111 players in January, our acquisition of just one of them – Bruno Fernandes – is an important step in that direction, demonstrating our commitment to adding experienced, world-class recruits to the exciting crop of academy graduates that are at the heart of this developing team.
“We will take the same planned, disciplined, approach this coming summer.”
