Manchester United hero Mikael Silvestre has revealed he’d love Paul Pogba to form a partnership alongside Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford, however, the former Red Devil isn’t convinced the Frenchman’s ‘head is in it’. Pogba hasn’t played for United since Boxing Day last year, with the midfielder sidelined after having ankle surgery.
The 27-year-old has been tipped to leave Old Trafford when the summer transfer window opens, with Real Madrid and Juventus possible destinations for the World Cup winner.
Pogba should be fit to play again when the Premier League season returns after the coronavirus outbreak.
Should Pogba return, he would slot in alongside Fernandes in midfield.
The Portugal star has become a fan favourite at Old Trafford, with Fernandes netting three goals and chipping in with four assists in all competitions.
And Silvestre admits he’d love to see Pogba and Fernandes in the team, however, the United hero feels the Frenchman may want to leave.
Speaking on The Athletic’s Talk of the Devils podcast, Silvestre said: “We have to wait and see but it doesn’t look like his head is at United any more.
“I saw him before the lockdown and he looked happy, everyone is behaving like normal with him.
“He is part of United so if he was to stay there wouldn’t be any issue, I just hope we see the best out of him.

“He should be at his peak right now with his age and his experience with United and France.
“It would be nice to see him in midfield with Bruno Fernandes.”
Premier League action will not return until April 30 at the very earliest due to the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s expected games could return in the summer, with the transfer window changing to work around the season.
