Newcastle United are reportedly nearing the signing of free agent Ryan Fraser and they are looking at two more additions, lodging bids for striker Callum Wilson and left-back Jamal Lewis.
The Times are reporting that Norwich City have accepted a bid of £13.5m for Lewis from the Magpies, while Sky Sports claim that they have also offered £20m including add-ons for Wilson.
Aston Villa had a bid rejected for the striker thought to be around the £15m mark and Bournemouth are yet to decide whether they will accept Newcastle's offer.
Sky also report that Villa have raised their offer to £21m but the player would prefer to join Newcastle.
Toon boss Steve Bruce is looking to improve his side, which finished 13th last season, against the backdrop of the failed takeover from a Saudi Arabian backed consortium.
Owner Mike Ashley is still looking to sell the club and Bruce is looking to bring in tried and tested Premier League players in a bid to build on last season.
Jeff Hendrick has already signed after his contract with Burnley expired and Fraser, Wilson, Lewis and fellow transfer target Rob Holding all fit that profile.

Newcastle ‘agree terms’ with Ryan Fraser and Callum Wilson could follow
The likes of Fraser and Wilson immediately improve the first team, while Lewis, Hendrick and Holding give Bruce more squad options as he looks to guide Newcastle comfortably clear of relegation once more.
Darren Bent has claimed that Newcastle securing Fraser's services would be something of a coup, given the amount of interest there has previously been in the winger.
Bent told Football Insider : "That kind of shows me that people are not sold on him like they once were.
"I mean, I thought he was nailed on to go to Liverpool, he’s still not signed anywhere so yeah, it’s a bit of a surprise about Newcastle because he is a very good player, he has got a lot of ability and on a free I thought he’d be out the door quite quickly.
"The fact that he’s not been is quite surprising to be fair. If Newcastle can get him, that is a superb bit of business to be fair, a really, really good bit of business."
