Kylian Mbappe looks set to depart Paris Saint-Germain to join Real Madrid when his contract expires next summer. The France international was wanted by the Spanish giants this summer but PSG rebuffed their approaches.

The Ligue 1 leaders will have no such fortune in hanging onto the superstar for another season as Mbappe will walk away from the club as soon as his contract comes to an end.

“We hope by January 1 that everything will be solved,” Real president Florentino Perez told Spanish outlet El Debate on Tuesday.

That means PSG will be in the hunt to land another forward. Mauricio Pochettino’s side already have Lionel Messi and Neymar at their disposal but will likely scour the market to land another player of Mbappe’s capabilities.

One player who could make their way to Parc des Princes is Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati.

At just 18 years old, Fati is viewed as one of the brightest talents in world football and has already played 46 games for the Catalonians.

Fati, who has only just returned from a serious knee injury, would set PSG back mega-money if he were to make the move to France.

But with Barcelona in desperate need of cash to ease their financial problems, they could be willing to sanction a move for the youngster.

Another player who has been linked with a move to PSG is Everton forward Richarlison.

Richarlison’s agent Giuliano Bertolucci flew to Paris in August to start negotiations with PSG over a deal for the Brazil international.

But when Mbappe’s transfer to Real failed to materialise, Richarlison stayed put in England.

The 24-year-old, who has scored 10 goals in 32 games for his country, has dreamed of playing Champions League football ever since he arrived in the Premier League.

And he would jump at the chance to join PSG next summer when Mbappe does move on.

A third player who the Parisians could target is Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguay international has dropped down the pecking order at Old Trafford after the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo in the summer.

Cavani enjoyed a prolific seven-year spell at PSG, before joining United on a free transfer a year ago.

During his time in France, Cavani racked-up an incredible 200 goals in 301 appearances.

He won the Ligue 1 title six times at PSG and also helped the side win four French Cups and five French League Cups.

He was the top scorer in Ligue 1 during the 2016/17 and the 2017/18 seasons as PSG dominated domestically.

Cavani would likely welcome a move back to France, although he is unlikely to be able to offer the same impact as he did during his first spell.

PSG want to become a force in European football and they will need to recruit wisely when Mbappe does eventually call time on his career in France.
