Real Madrid star Raphael Varane is looking increasingly likely to join Manchester United this summer. ABC Sports claimed over the weekend that the France international had a ‘total agreement’ with the Red Devils about a move. So, with that the case, it’s time to look at the player’s social media actions.
Checking out Varane’s Instagram, he already follows several United players.
One is Paul Pogba, with the two both regulars for France at international level, with the pair having 150 caps between them.
It emerged after their exit from Euro 2020 the two had clashed but that’s unlikely to stand in the way of United completing a deal.
Varane also follows Anthony Martial.
The France international has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, especially in the wake of Jadon Sancho’s move.
Yet United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is still counting on the forward next season, meaning he’s likely to be given another 12 months to prove his worth.

Interestingly, Varane also follows Rio Ferdinand.
The France international grew up admiring the United legend, who he came close to replacing back in the summer transfer window of 2011.
Sir Alex Ferguson felt Varane, then at Lens, would be the perfect long-term replacement for Ferdinand – who was approaching the twilight years of his career at the time.
But they ended up missing out, with Los Blancos stealing a march.
Varane also keeps tabs on two former United stars in Romelu Lukaku and Morgan Schneiderlin.

He played alongside Schneiderlin for France, though the former Red Devils star hasn’t made an international appearance in six years.
And though he hasn’t ever been on the same side as Lukaku, it’s possible the pair merely appreciate each other’s qualities.
Another person Varane admires, based on his social media activity, is David Beckham.
The England international spent most of his career at United, winning five league titles under Ferguson, before playing for Real Madrid, AC Milan, LA Galaxy and PSG later in his career.
Should Varane move, as expected, then he’ll have to follow pretty much the rest of Solskjaer’s team.
But there’s still plenty of work to be done if the Red Devils are to succeed in their mission of bringing the 28-year-old serial winner to the club, 10 years after their first attempt.
Meanwhile, speaking over the weekend, Andros Townsend urged United to make sure they get a deal for Varane over the line.
“If you look at Manchester United’s team, they are very top-heavy,” Townsend told talkSPORT.
“They have a lot of forward options and Jadon Sancho will give them another option but Varane, if he does come in, will solidify the back four.
“He will give them extra strength, extra pace and somebody of his calibre is more suited to the Premier League.
“He’s big, he’s strong, he is quick and I definitely think the Varane one takes them closer to where they want to be.”
United have already enjoyed a positive start to the transfer window.
Jadon Sancho is poised to join from Borussia Dortmund after the Red Devils agreed to pay £73million for the 21-year-old.
And the club also confirmed the return of Tom Heaton on Friday.
Heaton has returned from Aston Villa and is hopeful of challenging both David De Gea and Dean Henderson for a starting berth next term.
