Tottenham are ready to bid £50million to sign Jules Kounde from Sevilla, local reports in Andalusia claim. The Frenchman, who recently featured for Les Blues at Euro 2020, could well move on this summer with a host of clubs interested in his services.
Spurs are keen on adding at least one centre-back to their squad this summer as they to tighten things up at the back.
Last season, the club failed to settle on a first-choice pairing and the lack of reliability cost in defence cost them.
There has been dialogue over a move for Jannik Vestergaard while Joachim Andersen is also of interest.
Yet widespread reports suggest Kounde is Fabio Paratici’s first choice centre-back target.

According to Seville-based digital newspaper La Colina de Nervion, Spurs are ready to bid £50m for Kounde.
It remains unclear what price Sevilla are looking for in order to sell their most prized asset.
Alternatively, the report adds that Milan Skriniar is Tottenham’s Plan B if they cannot land Kounde.

Paratici and Daniel Levy remain determined to keep Harry Kane for new boss Nuno Espirito Santo and their best chance of doing so may involve several marquee additions.
Kounde was previously a target for Manchester City last summer before they signed Ruben Dias.
He even spoke with Pep Guardiola on the phone about a potential move to the Etihad.
“Yes, I spoke with Pep Guardiola. He had him on the telephone,” he told Canal+.
“We spoke in Spanish. Everything went well. I was interested in going there and I had guarantees that I would play. But it didn’t happen.”
City saw their bid for Kounde rejected before they turned attentions to Dias, who won the Premier League Player of the Year award after helping his side win the title.
Tottenham are also in talks to sign Bologna’s Takehiro Tomiyasu.
The Japanese international wants to move to north London and a deal is expected to be struck.
Spurs’ current offer is believed to be in the region of £18million.
