West Brom's Valerien Ismael to let Rayhaan Tulloch leave on-loan

West Brom boss Valerien Ismael is prepared to let Rayhaan Tulloch leave the club on loan next month… with several League One sides targeting swoop for talented forward

  • Teenager Rayhaan Tulloch has only made the bench for West Brom this season
  • The 20-year-old needs regular game time having played one minute of football
  • Several League One sides are keeping tabs on the youngster ahead of a swoop
  • Baggies boss Valerien Ismael believes Tulloch could benefit from loan move

West Brom forward Rayhaan Tulloch could be allowed out on loan next month amid increasing interest from League One clubs.

The talented 20-year old has been on the bench for Albion as they chase a return to the Premier League and manager Valerien Ismael will take stock of his situation over the next few weeks.

Ismael believes Tulloch may gain more benefit by getting regular competitive game time elsewhere as long as Albion have enough strength in depth for their attack.

Playing just one minute of football, the 20-year-old (centre) is keen to secure regular game time

‘We will assess the situation,’ Ismael told the Shropshire Star when asked if he Tulloch could be loaned out next month.

The Baggies boss, 46, believes the youngster has the potential to step up to the first team in the future, but a move a move away to gain regular action could be on the agenda.

‘Rayhaan is, for sure one of those (high potential) players.

‘But at the minute it’s more about getting the confidence back in his body, to train with consistency, to play with consistency, and the 23s are there to give him the possibility to play (should he not move on loan).

Valerien Ismael believes Tulloch will benefit from a temporary switch away from the club

Tulloch previously suffered a serious hamstring injury and is likely to head out on-loan

‘We will see how the improvement is week after week’.

Tulloch has played just one minute of game time so far this season, coming on in the 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers back in August.

Plymouth Argyle, Sheffield Wednesday, MK Dons and Fleetwood are all monitoring developments with former England U18 international Tulloch who has long been regarded as a youngster of great potential.

He has had a previous spell out on loan with Doncaster Rovers only to suffer a serious hamstring injury. Tulloch worked hard to get back to match sharpness and now wants to get a run of games.
