William Saliba is reportedly considering his Arsenal future amid the club's pursuit of Brighton defender Ben White.
The Gunners have identified White, 23, as a top transfer target this summer, seeing a £40million bid rejected by Brighton last week.
Mikel Arteta is keen to bring in a replacement for David Luiz, who is set to leave the Emirates upon the expiry of his contract at the end of the month.
And according to football.london, despite last week's failed bid Arsenal are 'edging closer' to getting their hands on White – which has left Saliba questioning his future at the club.
There were high hopes for the 20-year-old when he joined in a £25million switch from Saint-Etienne back in 2019.
But two years into his Gunners career he is still yet to make his debut, having been initially loaned back to Saint-Etienne before spending the second half of last season on loan at Nice.
Arteta doesn't appear to be a fan of Saliba, who has been left concerned by the potential arrival of White.

The latter has emerged as a target for Arsenal after enjoying an impressive season with Brighton, which earned him his first two England caps earlier this month.
He also earned a shock place in Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2020 after Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold was forced to withdraw through injury.
Speaking at the end of last season, Arteta revealed: "You will see in the summer, the possible replacement [for David Luiz].
"William is our player for sure and that's the decision we're going to be taking soon.
"When we finish the season we will sit down and discuss the roles of every member in our squad and how they can fulfil that role.
