Zinedine Zidane has rejected Manchester United for a second time, with three factors key to his decision, according to reports. One of which could relate to Mauricio Pochettino’s future at Paris Saint-Germain – also a target after United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on Sunday morning.

United have dismissed Solskjaer amid a horrid run of results, culminating in Saturday’s humiliating 4-1 thumping at Watford.

The Red Devils had hoped to keep Solskjaer until the end of the season, but five defeats in their last seven Premier League games prompted an early decision.

And with the search for a successor commencing immediately, several names have already been strongly linked with the vacant position.

Zidane is unsurprisingly one of those, but murmurs from Spain suggest he will not be United’s next manager.

According to El Partidazo de Cope, Zidane has quickly rejected United’s fresh approach due to three reasons.

Firstly, the 49-year-old’s ‘command’ of the English language makes him hesitant to pursue a job in the country.

On top of that, Zidane’s wife also has no interest in moving to England, which will have proved decisive.

Most interestingly, though, the ex-Real Madrid boss is more tempted by the PSG job, which could be ‘appearing on the horizon’.

The PSG job becoming available would mean current manager Mauricio Pochettino has departed.

And the Argentine just so happens to be one of United’s prime candidates to replace Solskjaer.

Sir Alex Ferguson is a long-time admirer of Pochettino, who could potentially switch Paris for Manchester next summer.

With Zidane wanting to prolong his break until the season’s conclusion, he could see that as an opportunity to slot in at the Parc des Princes.
